Quality assurance at the Faculty of Economic Sciences comprises a set of activities that are planned and systematically implemented within the Quality Management System of Moldova State University to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of planning, organization, coordination, and motivation processes, as well as the periodic control and monitoring of quality, with the aim of guaranteeing high-quality outcomes.

The purpose of quality assurance at the Faculty of Economic Sciences is to conduct internal quality evaluation and continuously improve quality at the faculty level in accordance with national quality standards and other provisions of quality assurance legislation.

Main Areas of Activity of the Quality Assurance Unit of the Faculty of Economic Sciences

• Organizing the quality assurance system;
• Developing quality assurance indicators and methodology;
• Monitoring the quality assurance process;
• Developing quality evaluation criteria;
• Monitoring the activities of the Quality Assurance Committees within the departments;
• Developing internal regulations;
• Coordinating the development of study programmes;
• Coordinating the development and implementation of curricular support;
• Creating the necessary conditions for and internally monitoring the external evaluation process.

The evaluation of the educational system and teaching process at the Faculty of Economic Sciences aims to ensure that teaching and research activities comply with national and international quality assurance requirements for higher education, as well as with the criteria for external (national and/or European) evaluation of study programmes.

In addition, it establishes the strategy and procedures for quality enhancement, publishes an annual report on the evaluation of educational quality within the Faculty, proposes programmes and measures to the Faculty management for improving the quality of education, and cooperates with all stakeholders involved in this process.

Quality assurance in higher education at the Faculty of Economic Sciences involves the continuous evaluation, analysis, and implementation of corrective actions by Moldova State University, based on the selection and adoption of the most appropriate procedures, as well as the selection and application of relevant reference standards.

The results of these evaluations are primarily used by the University’s management to analyse the quality of educational and administrative activities and to support decision-making regarding the institution’s strategic development objectives.

At the Faculty of Economic Sciences, an Annual Internal Quality Evaluation Report is prepared, containing recommendations for improving the Faculty’s activities. As a rule, these recommendations are incorporated into the institutional development plans through specific quality enhancement measures.
