Admission Campaign Schedule, Cycle I – Bachelor’s Degree Programmes, 2026

Registration of applicants for the admission competition is carried out exclusively online, either independently or with the assistance of the Admission Committee members, through the eAdmitere information system.

All users of the eAdmitere information system are authenticated using a digital, electronic, or mobile signature, or an identity card via the MPass service.

Applicants who do not possess an electronic signature will be registered by the Admission Committee of Moldova State University.

Applicants applying for Cycle I higher education (Bachelor’s degree) may select up to three fields of study (degree programmes), ranked in order of preference.

Admission is granted to only one degree programme, regardless of the source of funding. To confirm their enrolment choice, applicants must submit the original education documents to Moldova State University.

To submit an online application for admission, applicants must complete the following steps:

Step 1. Applicant Authentication (Creation of a Personal Account)

Each applicant accesses the eAdmitere website and creates a personal account. During the authentication process, the required personal data must be provided. These data will be used exclusively for the purposes of the admission campaign and in accordance with the applicable personal data protection legislation.

Step 2. Completion of the Registration Form

Applicants complete the registration form by selecting their preferred fields of study (degree programmes) in order of priority. Where applicable, supporting documents must be attached to the application.

Step 3. Payment of the Registration Fee

Applicants pay the registration fee for participation in the admission competition online via the MPay system. The amount of the registration fee is determined by Moldova State University. Children deprived of parental care and persons with severe and profound disabilities are exempt from paying the registration fee.

Confirmation of the registration fee payment signifies the applicant’s participation in the admission competition and the submission of their application to the University for verification and validation. Once the registration fee has been paid, no changes can be made to the submitted application.

Step 4. Verification and Validation of the Registration Form

The Admission Committee of Moldova State University reviews and validates the documents submitted by the applicant through the registration form. If necessary, the applicant may be requested to provide additional supporting documents.

Step 5. Admission Competition and Publication of Preliminary Results

Applicants are ranked in descending order according to their admission score, based on the evaluation of their educational documents.

The preliminary admission results are approved by the Admission Committee of Moldova State University and published on the University's official website.

Step 6. Submission of Original Documents

After being included in the list of applicants recommended for admission based on the preliminary results, applicants must personally submit the original documents to the Admission Committee.

Step 7. Publication of Final Results

The final admission results are determined after the submission of original documents by applicants recommended for admission following the preliminary competition.

Applicants who fail to submit the original documents within the established deadline will be removed from the final list of admitted students.

Vacant places will be offered to the next applicants in descending order of their admission score.

Application documents may also be submitted on behalf of an applicant by an authorized representative acting under a power of attorney.

Individuals holding a Baccalaureate Diploma, a Diploma of Vocational Education, or another educational qualification recognized by the competent authority responsible for the recognition and equivalence of educational documents and qualifications (Government Decision No. 330/2023, Annex 3) are eligible to participate in the admission competition for Cycle I higher education (Bachelor’s degree) programmes.

Holders of vocational education diplomas are entitled to participate in the admission competition for Cycle I higher education (Bachelor’s degree) programmes in a field of study corresponding to their completed programme of vocational training.

Required Documents:

• Original and copy of the identity card (passport);
• Electronic application for participation in the admission competition;
• Original education certificate/diploma with the transcript/supplement, which will be kept in the archives of Moldova State University (USM) until the completion of studies. Graduates of high schools in Romania and other countries who complete their studies in the current year shall submit a graduation certificate, the results of the Baccalaureate examination, and an academic transcript containing their grades for all years of study. The Baccalaureate Diploma must be submitted no later than 1 October 2026;
• Four passport-size photographs (3 × 4 cm);
• Proof of payment of the registration fee in the amount of 350 MDL.

Additional Documents (where applicable):

• Birth certificate of the applicant (for representatives of the Moldovan diaspora abroad), or the birth certificate of one of the applicant’s parents, grandparents, to confirm the country of origin (Republic of Moldova);
• Medical certificate, where required for study programmes that involve specific health or physical fitness requirements;
• Applicants who have been granted admission benefits, but whose status was not automatically verified through the eAdmitere system and was supported only by uploaded copies of the relevant documents, must present the original documents to the Admission Committee to confirm their eligibility;
• Applicants holding a higher education (Bachelor’s) diploma and applying for a state-funded study place must submit a certificate from the previously graduated higher education institution confirming that their previous higher education studies were completed on a tuition-fee basis;
• Foreign citizens and applicants whose native language is not Romanian and who apply for Romanian-language study programmes must provide educational documents, language certificates, or other supporting documents proving their proficiency in Romanian;
• First-, second-, or third-place diplomas awarded at national or international school competitions (Olympiads) organized by the Ministry of Education and Research or other competent ministries;
• Certificate issued by the territorial guardianship authority for young people deprived of parental care;
• Medical documents confirming the degree of disability of the applicant or of the applicant’s parents;
• Certificate confirming that one of the applicant’s parents participated in the military actions for the defence of the territorial integrity and independence of the Republic of Moldova, in the war in Afghanistan, in the Chernobyl nuclear disaster recovery operations, or in humanitarian post-conflict military operations in Iraq;
• Certificate of family composition together with copies of the birth certificates of brothers and sisters (for applicants from families raising three or more dependent children);
• Document confirming membership in the Roma community;
• Recommendation issued by the local specialized education authority or a certificate from the workplace of the applicant’s parent(s) employed as teaching staff (for applicants to study programmes in the field of Educational Sciences);
• Birth certificate of the applicant who is a representative of the Moldovan diaspora abroad, or the birth certificate of one of the applicant’s parents or grandparents, confirming the country of origin (Republic of Moldova).

When submitting the application file, the candidate will attach the admission competition fee in the amount approved by the senate.

• Admission fee for  candidates: 350 lei
• Admission fee for international candidates: 3000 lei

The admission competition for holders of a Baccalaureate Diploma, a Diploma of Vocational Education, and a higher education diploma (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree) is conducted on the basis of the following admission score calculation formula:

ACS = 0.5 × AFE + 0.5 × GPA

where:
ACS – Admission Competition Score;
AFE – Average Final Examination Score;
GPA – Grade Point Average for the entire period of study.

If the educational qualification on the basis of which the applicant participates in the admission competition does not include final examination results, the Average Final Examination Score (AFE) shall be replaced by the Grade Point Average (GPA) for the entire period of study.

The admission competition score is calculated to two decimal places without rounding.

If two or more applicants obtain the same admission competition score, priority for admission shall be determined in the following order:

• applicants who obtained first, second, or third place in subject Olympiads organized by higher education institutions and included in the curricula;
• applicants who participated in national or international Olympiads, competitions, exhibitions, conferences, or other similar events;
• graduates of an educational profile corresponding to the chosen field of study (science, humanities, arts, or sports profile);
• applicants referred to in Section 36 of this Methodology;
• persons who have carried out volunteer activities in accordance with Law No. 121 of 18 June 2010;
• holders of a Baccalaureate Diploma obtained in the year of admission;
• other selection criteria established by the Admission Committee in exceptional cases, provided that they do not conflict with the applicable legislation.

The study plans for the following modes of study: Full-time study (3 years), Part-time study (4 years), Distance learning (4 years), Dual education (3 years).
