Center of excellence in business administration

The center was created and equipped within the framework of the Erasmus+ ReSTART project (Erasmus+ Project No.585353-EPP-1-2017-1-RO-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP – “Strengthening the Entrepreneurial and Digital Skills of Students and Academic Staff to Enhance the Modernization of Higher Education in Moldova (ReSTART)”, implemented during the period 15/10/2017 – 14/10/2021).

The center is used by professors (academic and scientific staff) and students.

The general objective of the Center is to extend the benefits and enhance the impact of entrepreneurial curriculum on students and academic staff by leveraging advanced experience in business administration, based on internationalization, strategic partnerships, and innovative cooperation.

The specific objectives of the Center include:

• Assessing the entrepreneurship and digital learning needs of students, professors, and local enterprises.
• Modernizing entrepreneurial education within the Faculty of Economics of USM, in accordance with the best practices of the European Union, by capturing the expectations of the local market and leveraging ICT methods, mixed teaching and learning activities.
• Expanding the potential of innovative and updated education based on institutionalizing entrepreneurial curriculum within the Faculty of Economics of USM.
• Leveraging transnational knowledge exchanges and promoting co-creation of entrepreneurial knowledge to stimulate innovation within the entrepreneurial environment of the Republic of Moldova.

Various activities are planned within the Center, including: training/teaching sessions, career information and guidance sessions, entrepreneurship promotion and support events, various contests, including innovative business plan competitions, etc.

These activities are expected to involve various categories of beneficiaries – students (bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral), faculty members, and representatives of various types of organizations in the domestic business environment.
