Training sessions at ATSU in Kutaisi, Georgia

During training sessions at ATSU in Kutaisi, Georgia, representatives of Moldova State University delved into current topics of sustainable development in the tourism industry.
The topics discussed included Tourism4SDGs, transitions in the tourism industry, the introduction of sustainability in tourism, and EU best practices.
These topics are interconnected and form a holistic picture of the future of tourism. The Tourism4SDGs concept emphasizes the need to integrate sustainable practices, which requires adaptation to new challenges such as climate change. Implementation of sustainability creates economic and social benefits for local communities, and the EU experience serves as a valuable reference for Moldova.
Given these topics, the tourism industry of Moldova faces a number of challenges. First, it is necessary to review traditional approaches to tourism development and integrate sustainable practices in order to keep up with global trends. Second, Moldova State University and other educational institutions should prepare specialists who will be able to adapt to new market requirements and effectively use the acquired knowledge.
Moldova State University expresses its gratitude to the organizers for the high level of the training and wishes further success in the implementation of educational projects that contribute to the promotion of sustainable tourism at the international level!
